Ease of mobility
Public transport does not reach the number of coves and idyllic locations that the island has to offer.
Although there are good connections to other towns, such as Santa Eulalia or Ibiza, the most efficient method is to have your own car.
There is also the possibility of bringing your own car from the mainland, but the boat trip takes between 8 and 4 hours (depending on the port of departure), so many people opt to rent a car.
Safety, capacity and comfort
People usually prefer to rent small motorbikes for various reasons: easier parking, cheaper, the sensation of feeling the wind in your face....
But it is undeniable that a car provides greater safety and comfort for complicated journeys, especially because of the numerous dirt roads that often have to be crossed to reach coves.
Also, if you are several people, sharing a car is usually fun, as you can chat with your friends, play music, and above all: have a GPS.
Finally, although we are an island paradise, we are not free from inclement weather, and depending on the season it can rain for weeks at a time.
