Ibiza is a top tourist destination in Europe because of the amount of things to do. There is something for everyone!
One of the favourite activities of all visitors is going to the beach or to the small idyllic coves that are scattered all over the island. In this post we show you which ones you will find near the hotel so that you can enjoy a stroll and a good swim.
A long stretch of fine, soft sand, calm, shallow waters... That's what awaits you on the town's main beach.
Here you will find a mainly young crowd from morning until sunset, as it is located next to the promenade.
The atmosphere is livelier and more dynamic, and because of its large size you can play paddle tennis, rent sun loungers, or go to a beach club for a drink.
Continuing along the promenade and moving away from the village, you will find the peaceful beach of Es Puet.
This small area offers water sports such as velomar, kayak, banana boat or you can even hire a boat.
You will also find several bars and shops, as well as sunbeds, parasols and showers - everything you need for an enjoyable day at the beach!
In the opposite direction and across the village is this lovely little beach with a wooden platform, ideal for sunbathing without the hassle of sand.
Whenever you feel like it, you can go down for a dip to cool off on the hottest days, and if you don't feel like it, you can play cards or have a drink from your seat, looking out to sea.
An interesting thing about this cove is that you can enjoy the sunset in peace and quiet.
Access on foot is a little more complex, but 15 minutes from Caló des Moro are Cala Gració and its little sister, Cala Gracioneta.
Two charming beaches with very authentic chiringuito style restaurants where you can enjoy typical Ibicencan food, with a relaxing but stimulating atmosphere.
These famous coves are located in the area, but quite far away, although they are easily accessible by bus, car or motorbike hire, and there are even boats that run transport routes!
Cala Conta is one of the best known beaches on the island for its fabulous views of several islets, turquoise waters and different areas that will provide you with an adventure. It is also the perfect location for watching the sunset.
In addition to its crystal clear waters, Cala Bassa offers a wide variety of services, making it a very busy beach with a lot of activity. It is ideal to go with children; it is practically impossible for them to get bored, and it is very safe due to the shallow depth of its waters.
Cala Salada is one of the favourite coves for residents and boat owners. As well as being the perfect location for swimming because of its clear sandy bottom, here you will also find the Ses Fontanelles caves, with their famous Bronze Age paintings.
If you are interested in visiting these beaches, you can ask for more information at the Base Hotel desks, we will be happy to help you!
